Introduction
The benefits of hastelloy process equipment include high resistance to uniform attack, outstanding localized corrosion resistance, excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance, and ease of welding and fabrication. Hastelloy B: This series alloy possesses outstanding resistance to non-oxidizing acids, such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid.
Hastelloy C276: Like other nickel alloys, it is ductile, easy to form and weld. Very good resistance to oxidizing salt, hypochlorite, reducing, both oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids. Excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance with very good resistance to localized attack.
