Pure nickel reactor is used in the chemical industry for its corrosion resistance - particularly to alkalis. Pure nickel shows excellent corrosion resistance in alkaline solutions such as caustic soda, and also shows outstanding resistance against highly pure halogen gas and non-oxidizing acids.
